Yellowknife, Northwest Territories - Best Place To See Northern Lights
Without going into technical details, the Aurorae are caused by electromagnetic energy particles which are drawn to the earth's poles, literally charging the atmosphere and causing it to glow. The intensity and frequency of Aurora Borealis is greatest in the proximity to the North Magnetic Pole and reportedly Yellowknife, Capital of the Northwest Territories of Canada is the best place to see these lights.
