Nikolay Polissky a member of a Moscow's artist group Mit'ki moved to this village about 10 years ago. With the help of local residents he started creating art objects from firewood, hay, dried vines etc. Soon the fame spread and the village became a tourist spot; the locals started making money out of practically nothing.
