Kjeragbolten (Kjerag Boulder), Norway
A few weeks ago I had written about Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock), Norway - a 604 metres high, vertical precipice in Norway. Not far from it, is the famous and a scary boulder known as Kjeragbolten meaning "Kjerag Boulder" or "Kjerag Bolt".
It is a two metre wide boulder wedged in a mountain crevasse at the edge of the Kjerag mountain. While people who don't suffer from vertigo can access the top of the boulder without any special equipment, standing on it definitely requires some guts as there is a direct 1000 metres drop, down below to the cold waters of Lysefjorden.
