Google Earth Community - Fun and Games

Google Earth Community is full of information which ranges from, but not limited to, history, geography, nature, environment, architecture, military, transportation, social / religious beliefs, festivals, huge, unique, bizarre items, current happenings etc etc.

My favourite section in the Community is "Fun and Games" - in which members post riddles and puzzles on almost all subjects and generally give hints for searching and locating the relevant places and or events on Google Earth. I have made several hundred posts in this forum and must have solved about the same number, though several were beyond my grasp. Believe me it is not easy to solve these riddles - Finding the answer is 90% perspiration (research) and 10% inspiration but it is pure 100% joy and sense of exhilaration.

This forum provides a stimulus to my brain and keeps it active. I strongly recommend this for those who have time and penchant for solving puzzles, but a word of warning – it is highly addictive.

My travels around the World are not limited to Fun and Games only, however many of the places being covered in this travelogue were found as a result of my researches for making posts in Fun and Games or trying to solve the riddles given therein.

Most of us must of seen the classic science fiction and award winning movie "The Fantastic Voyage" and/or read Isaac Asimov's novel based on its script.

This fiction has now become a reality at the building of "CORPUS Congress Centre", Oegstgeest, Leiden, The Netherlands.

CORPUS a museum-cum-theatre-cum-conference venue is World's only building of its type and was inaugurated by HM Queen Beatrix on March 14, 2008. It is brainchild of Henri Remmers, Managing Director, Reco Productions International and has been built with the support of several foundations and organisations associated with products/services in the field of a healthy lifestyle and medical aspects of the human body.

A trip through the building provides a spectacular audio/visual experience during which the visitor can see, feel and hear how the human body works and what roles healthy food, healthy life and plenty of exercise plays.

As per CORPUS website;

"Make an amazing journey in the hearth theater as a red blood cell and discover the spectacular workings of the human brain in our brain show. How do our intestines react to a cheese sandwich? What happens when you sneeze and where on your tong do you taste sugar or salt?

Whoever enters the world's most unique and interactive attraction CORPUS, will witness in a original and informative way the spectacular ‘journey through the human body'. In the 35 meters high body this journey will take you past amazing organ theaters finally ending in the brains. This is an uninterrupted interactive experience of 55 minutes".

As Google Earth imagery is old the building is not yet visible in Google Earth however Google Street View provides a fantastic view of the building.
