Ennedi Plateau - Sahara’s Secret Garden - Revisited

"Ennedi Plateau" in the north-east part of Chad is one of the most inaccessible region in the middle of Sahara. The region is full of amazing geologically formed arches and pillars some of which are as exquisite as those in USA (Utah/Arizona) or other part of the World.

A few weeks ago I had made a post about it entitled "Ennedi Plateau - Sahara’s Secret Garden".  Subsequently I received permission from Fouderg allowing me use of images from his Ennedi Collection in Flickr. Accordingly I am posting images of few more arches and pillars/rocks from multitude of awe inspiring natural rock formations in the area.

Double Arch in Bamena Massif
It looks like a giant elephant with a Howdah. For scale see the Land Rover in the opening.

Credits: I am thankful to Fouderg for allowing me use of images from his Ennedi Collection in Flickr and also giving the locations of the images in his collection, without which I couldn't have placemarked these in Google Earth.
