Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve in Central India is the best place to see the tigers in their natural environment. It has the highest tiger density in India. The Reserve has a total area of 694 km consisting of 105 square kilometre of core tiger area and a buffer forest area of about 489 Sq. Km. It is named after an old fort on a prominent hillock (seen in the background) of the region and is accessible by road only. Whole area has a rich range of Fauna and Flora and is ideal habitat for the tigers.
